About XPRT Legal

XPRT Legal ("XPRT Legal", "we", "us") is a partnership firm carrying on business in Thane, Maharashtra, as a document and government-services consultancy (documentation, registration and government-work assistance). See our list of services. By "you" or "Client" we mean the person or business who orders or uses our services.

Important – please read. XPRT Legal is a consultancy and documentation service. It is not a law firm, and our staff do not act as advocates. We do not give legal opinions, appear before courts or tribunals, or represent anyone in litigation. If your matter needs an advocate, we will tell you so and you must appoint an advocate of your own choice.

These pages (the "Terms") form a contract between you and XPRT Legal. They apply to every order, quotation, WhatsApp / phone / e-mail arrangement and every use of our website, CRM links, forms and payment links.

What we do and what we do not doSo you know exactly what to expect

What we do

  • Explain which document, registration, licence or certificate you need, and what papers are required.
  • Prepare documents and fill forms from the facts and papers you give us, using standard formats.
  • Submit applications on government portals and to offices on your behalf, follow up, and collect the result.
  • Send you checklists, online forms and PDF forms so you can give us everything in one place.
  • Remind you about renewals and expiry dates.

What we do not do

  • We do not act as advocates: no legal opinion, no legal notices, no court, tribunal or police-station representation.
  • We do not give an opinion on ownership, title, validity of a document, or whether a dispute can be won.
  • We do not prepare documents for matters that are in dispute or in court.
  • We do not act as a notary, and we do not guarantee any government approval or time.
  • We do not carry out anything that is unlawful, false or misleading.

When your matter needs an advocate, we will tell you, and you appoint an advocate of your own choice and pay that advocate directly.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

You accept these Terms when you do any one of the following: place or confirm an order (in person, by phone, e-mail or WhatsApp), make any payment, hand over documents, sign or submit our form, or use our online forms or links. Electronic acceptance is valid under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Indian Contract Act, 1872. If you do not agree, please do not place an order.

2. Our services

  • Consultancy and guidance on which document, licence, registration or application is suitable for your purpose.
  • Preparing and drafting documents and forms (for example agreements, affidavits, declarations, applications) from the information and papers you give us.
  • Assisting you in filing or following up applications with government departments, local bodies, portals and other authorities, and collecting the result for you.

We are a private firm. We are not a government body, we are not connected with any authority, and we cannot influence the decision of any authority. Whether an application is approved, registered or issued is decided only by the concerned authority.

Checklists, forms, links and information we send you are for your convenience. They describe the usual procedure and may change when the authority changes its rules; the authority's own requirement always prevails.

3. Fees

  • Service / consultancy charges are our professional fee for our time, expertise, advice, drafting, preparation, follow-up and office work. They are our charge for consultancy and are separate from government fees.
  • Government fees (such as stamp duty, registration fee, application or portal fee, notary and other statutory charges) are generally small. They are paid to the authority and are charged to you at actuals, shown separately wherever possible. We act only as a convenience for you in paying them.
  • Other costs such as courier, travel outside Thane, photocopy / printing, translation, and third-party professional charges are extra and will be told to you in advance.
  • Re-work and changes. Work caused by wrong or missing information, changes in your instructions, re-submission after rejection due to your details, or extra rounds of drafting may be charged separately after we tell you.
  • GST and other taxes are added where applicable. Charges are payable in advance or as agreed in writing at the time of the order. Quotations are valid for 7 days unless we say otherwise.

4. When an order is confirmed and when service has started

An order is confirmed when we accept it and you have paid the agreed amount (or the advance), or we have written to you (including by WhatsApp) that we have registered your order.

The service is treated as started as soon as any one of these happens: we receive and review your documents or details; we give you advice or a quotation specific to your case; we begin drafting; we open or use a portal account for you; we book a slot or token; or we contact any authority or third party for you. Our usual stages are: Payment Received, Submit, Approved, Collected, Feedback and Review.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Give us true, complete, genuine and valid information and documents, and tell us promptly if anything changes. You are fully responsible for their accuracy and genuineness.
  • You must have the legal right and capacity to do the transaction. Where other people's consent or signature is needed (for example co-owners, spouse, buyer / seller, partners, directors) you must arrange it.
  • Be available for signatures, biometrics, OTPs, appointments and verification when needed, and reply to our questions within a reasonable time. Delay on your side may delay or cancel the work.
  • Do not ask us to do anything that is illegal, misleading, false or forged. We may refuse any work at any stage if we have a reason to doubt the information, the people involved, or the legality of the transaction.
  • Read every document carefully before you sign it. Your signature means you have understood and approved it.

6. Time lines

Any time we mention is an estimate only. Delay or rejection caused by an authority, a portal or server problem, holidays, strikes, a change in rules or fees, missing papers, or any act of a third party is outside our control, and does not entitle you to a refund or compensation.

7. No guarantee of result

We prepare and submit your work with reasonable skill and care. We do not guarantee approval, registration, grant of a licence, a particular date, or any particular outcome. Our fee is for our consultancy and work, and is not conditional on the result.

8. Delivery and checking our work

Please check every document, certificate or draft within 7 days of receiving it. If we made an error (for example a spelling or data entry mistake in what you gave us), we will correct it free of cost. If you do not tell us within 7 days, the work is treated as accepted. Original documents of yours are returned to you on request. We may hold back our prepared drafts / deliverables until our dues are paid.

9. Cancellation and refunds

Our Fees & Refund Policy below forms part of these Terms.

10. Limit of our liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, (a) our total liability for any claim connected with an order is limited to the service / consultancy charges actually received by us for that order; and (b) we are not liable for indirect, consequential or business losses, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, penalties or interest, or for any decision, delay or rejection by an authority or third party. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for fraud or wilful misconduct).

11. Indemnity

You agree to compensate XPRT Legal, its partners and staff for any loss, claim, penalty, legal cost or expense that arises from false, incomplete, forged or misleading information or documents given by you, from your illegal use of our work, or from a claim by any third party about the transaction you ordered.

12. Right to refuse or stop work

We may pause or stop an order, and keep the fee for the work already done, if you do not cooperate, do not pay, give false information, ask for something unlawful, or behave abusively or threateningly towards our people.

13. Respectful conduct

We welcome honest feedback and reviews. Abuse, threats, harassment of our staff, repeated unreasonable demands, or knowingly false, misleading or defamatory statements about the firm, its partners or staff (including on social media, review sites or to authorities) are not acceptable, and we reserve the right to take action under law, including civil and criminal remedies, and to stop serving that person.

14. Confidentiality

We keep your information confidential and use it only to deliver your service, except where we must share it with the authorities concerned, our service providers, or as required by law or a court. Details are in the Privacy Policy below.

15. Our intellectual property

Our formats, templates, drafts, checklists, designs, name, logo, website and software remain the property of XPRT Legal. You may use the documents we prepare for you only for the purpose for which they were made. You may not copy, resell, publish or reuse our templates or materials for other persons or for a competing business.

16. Communication

You agree that we may contact you by phone, SMS, WhatsApp and e-mail on the details you gave us, about your order, payments, follow-ups, renewals and reminders. Messages and call records kept by us are valid evidence of what was communicated. You can ask us at any time to stop promotional messages.

17. Events beyond our control

We are not responsible for any delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural calamities, epidemics, power or internet failure, strikes, government orders, portal shutdowns or changes in law.

18. Who you are contracting with

Your contract is with the firm XPRT Legal. Our employees and associates act on behalf of the firm. Claims relating to our services must be made against the firm.

19. Governing law, complaints and courts

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
  • Step 1 – complaint: first write to us (see Complaints & Contact). We will acknowledge within 48 hours and try to resolve the matter within 30 days. Raising a complaint early, ideally within 30 days of delivery, helps us verify the records.
  • Step 2 – arbitration: if the dispute is not settled, it shall be referred to a sole arbitrator appointed with the written consent of both sides (or, if there is no agreement within 30 days, appointed as provided in the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996). The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Thane, the language English (or Marathi / Hindi if both agree), and the award is final and binding.
  • Courts: subject to the above, the courts at Thane, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all matters arising out of these Terms. This does not take away any right that a consumer has under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 to approach a Consumer Commission that has jurisdiction.

20. General

  • If any part of these Terms is held invalid, the rest continues to apply.
  • If we do not enforce a right at any time, that does not mean we have given it up.
  • These Terms, with any written quotation or order confirmation, are the whole agreement between us for the order. A written order confirmation (including on WhatsApp or e-mail) that mentions a special condition will prevail over these general Terms for that order only.
  • We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force on the date of your order applies to that order. The English text prevails over any translation.

Fees & Refund PolicyPlease read before you pay

In short: you are paying for our consultancy and professional work, not for a guaranteed government result. Once an order is taken and our work has started, our charges are not refunded. Refunds are possible only in the limited cases listed below, which are decided by XPRT Legal.

1. What you pay for

Part of the billWhat it isRefundable?
Service / consultancy chargesOur fee for advice, drafting, preparation, filing, follow-up and office workOnly as stated in this policy
Government fees & statutory chargesStamp duty, registration fee, portal / application fee, notary fee etc. (nominal, at actuals)Not refundable by us once paid to the authority. If the authority itself returns an amount, we pass it on to you.
Other third-party costsCourier, printing, travel, translation etc.Not refundable once incurred

2. No refund in these cases

  • After the order is confirmed and the service has started (see Terms, clause 4), including when you change your mind, no longer need the service, or choose another provider.
  • If an application is delayed, rejected, put on hold or returned by an authority, or if rules, fees or policies change.
  • If the information or documents you gave are false, incomplete, not genuine or not valid, or other persons whose consent is needed do not cooperate.
  • If you are not reachable or do not respond or do not attend a required appointment, biometric or signing.
  • If a dispute, objection or claim is raised by any third party about the transaction.
  • For consultancy given: advice and information once given cannot be taken back, so the consultancy charge for it is not refundable.

3. When we may refund

We may refund the service / consultancy charge for the part of the work not yet done in these cases only:

  1. you paid twice, or paid more than the amount agreed;
  2. we decline or are unable to take up or complete your order for reasons within our own side (for example we stop offering that service);
  3. a serious mistake of ours that we cannot correct, and that has caused the order to fail.

Whether a refund is due in a particular case, and how much, is decided by XPRT Legal after looking at the work done, the time spent and the costs already incurred, and we will explain the reason in writing. A part-refund may be given where part of the work is complete.

4. How a refund is paid

  • Refunds, if approved, are paid to the same bank account or UPI ID from which the payment came, within 7 to 10 working days of approval, after deducting bank / payment-gateway charges and any cost already incurred for you.
  • To ask for a refund, write to us (see Complaints & Contact) with your name, mobile number, order number and reason.
  • If you dispute a payment with your bank or card company although the service was provided, we will submit our order records, chats and delivery proof to the bank.

5. Rework instead of refund

If the problem is a mistake in our work, our first remedy is to correct it free of cost (see Terms, clause 8).

Privacy PolicyHow we handle your information

We respect your privacy and follow the Information Technology Act, 2000, the rules under it, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules as they come into force.

  • Identity and supporting documents: for example Aadhaar, PAN, photographs, address proof, property, business or family documents that a particular application requires.
  • Order and payment records: what you ordered, amounts, receipts and the mode of payment (we do not store your card number, PIN or UPI PIN).
  • Messages and call notes between you and us, and basic technical data (such as IP address and browser) when you use our website or online forms.

2. Why we use it

  • To keep accounts, issue invoices, meet tax and legal duties, and protect ourselves in a dispute.
  • To improve our services and prevent fraud or misuse.

3. Aadhaar and ID documents

We ask for a copy of Aadhaar, PAN or other ID only where a service form or authority requires it. We use it only for that purpose, we do not use Aadhaar to authenticate you, and wherever the form allows, we use a masked Aadhaar (only the last 4 digits visible). We do not publish, sell or share your ID documents for any other purpose.

4. Who we share it with

  • The government departments, local bodies, portals, notaries, sub-registrar offices and other authorities concerned with your application.

Some of these providers may process data on servers outside India.
  • Courts, police or other authorities where the law requires.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your order records for as long as needed to serve you and to deal with any follow-up or dispute. We keep copies of ID documents for up to 12 months after the order is completed, unless a law or an ongoing matter requires longer, and then delete them safely. Accounting and tax records are kept for the period required by law.

6. How we protect it

Our system is protected by login, role-based access limited to staff who need it, encrypted (HTTPS) connections and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure; if there is a data breach that affects you, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

7. Your rights

You may ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it (where we are not required to keep it), to stop using it for promotions, or to withdraw your consent. You may also nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf. Write to our Grievance Officer (below). If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to continue a service that needs that information.

8. Children

Our services are for adults. For a person under 18, the parent or legal guardian must give consent and give the information.

9. Cookies and links

Our website and CRM links may use basic cookies to keep you signed in and to make forms work. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of government portals or other external sites you are sent to.

10. Changes
